Thank you for becoming a supporting member of Tennessee Coalition for Open Government. You join many others who have contributed to our 11-year organization in its effort to improve transparency in Tennessee.

Our organization is unique in that it links media, individual citizens, law firms and civic groups together in promoting open government in our state.

Founded in 2003, and a member of the National Freedom of Information Coalition, we have provided training and presentations to more than 2,000 people and offered on-the-spot free guidance to more than 1,000 citizens and journalists. We continually conduct research into open government issues, providing information about access issues to citizens, journalists and lawmakers. Click here for a little bit more TCOG history.

Your support helps to fund our five core services and programs:

  • Hotline for open government problems
  • Public presentations and media interviews
  • Journalist and student training
  • Surveys and audits
  • News and resources

You can keep up with news by signing up for our monthly email newsletter, or receive an email update with each blog post. We’re also on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.
